Apple and Carrot

Aiden captured two crickets yesterday and decided to bring them home in a water bottle with air holes cut into the sides. He was soooo happy with this cricket friends and was totally fascinated when they moved, twitched, lost a leg, or pooped. At the end of the day, with Aiden still holding tight to his waterbottle of two crickets I asked if he had named them and he responded, "Yes, Apple and Carrot." Apple and Carrot slept in his room last night so he could hear them chirp. However, we are sad to report Carrot did not make it through the night, but Apple is still kicking...minus two legs.
