Should know by now...

I have been a mom for almost 5 years now and should know that when kids are quiet they are into something or up to no good. This morning, I was checking email, updating our calendar, etc etc, and Maia was out in the family room watching Clifford, or so I thought. It turns out she was really digging through our craft cabinet, dumping all items out on the floor, and she somehow managed to twist the lids off of both glue tubes and dumped all the glue out on the carpet ( I can't wait to have hard surface floors again). Man, she was so quiet about it too! Pictures to follow...

Just a friendly tip...

If your kids received "Sugar-Free" conversation hearts, just throw them away. My kids each received a box for Valentines Day, and while the idea is wonderful, the aftermath is not, i.e. "...when your sliding into home and your pants begin to foam...."

Mental note...

I have decided to set a new goal for our family. Use less. And, products that we do buy should be organic or biodegradable or sustainable or recyclable. I am in the process of rotating out chemical cleaners for more earth friendly versions; who cares if it takes more elbow grease to clean the tub, I need more exercise anyways. Found new store to help with this goal called RoadLessTraveledStore.com. Love it and affordable. The end.

Family night...

Last step, hang on chairs with leftover ribbon; I loved how they all turned out, all different and sweet. Happy Valentine's Day!

Poor little foam hearts filled with glue, glitter, ribbon, and pink puff balls.

Hard at work.

So we decorated foam hearts as a family activity on Wednesday night and it was such a fun quick project that I decided to show you what we came up with. Kids and dad decorating hearts with all things pink, red, white and some black to look really chic.

Park it...

Can I just say how thankful I am for wonderful, clean parks that we have in Southern California!! They are so nice and we usually spend two or three hours there each time we go; so far, we have been to the park every day this week, yahoo!

night night

Aiden was so sweet when we put him to bed tonight; he said to me on my way out of his room "mom, i love you, you are the best mom in the whole world, sweet dreams, and sleep tight..."
Hows that to make you feel good!!!!!

They have a large room filled with animals that are stuffed! So interesting, they have bears, moose, birds, wolves, really cool and we all loved it!
